Shefalee Vasudev is a cultural commentator, and editor-in-chief of The Voice of Fashion, a daily online magazine on fashion, culture and design published from India. The author of Powder Room: The Untold Story of Indian Fashion, Shefalee has worked at numerous news and lifestyle publications from India Today to The Indian Express, and Mint Lounge at Hindustan Times group, in senior editorial roles. In 2006, she became the first editor of Marie Claire India published then by the Outlook Group. At The Voice of Fashion and for select other newspapers, Shefalee writes on the intersections between fashion, society and popular culture. India’s crafts, textiles and artisanal traditions, dress and identity issues inform Shefalee’s work. A recognized public speaker who hosts debates and conversations on several subjects, she is currently writing her second book to be published by Westland in 2025. She is also a trained narrative therapist.
