Competition Overview
As His Majesty works towards a mindful future for Bhutan, this competition offers students anopportunity to support His Majesty in his vision by envisioning paths themselves in the same direction.
Students from grades VI to XII are invited to imagine a radiant Bhutan in the future that has been mindful in respecting nature, preserving spiritual heritage while embracing innovation. This initiative calls upon the youth of our nation to harness and channel their creativity and wisdom through visualization and contemplation.
Medium & Dimensions: Open, but must be on a 2D flat surface (acceptable mediums include color pencils, crayons, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, oil, and graphite). Minimum size is A4, and maximum size is A3.
Elements: Bhutanese spirituality, heritage, natural environments and innovation.
Categories: Middle School (classes VI – VIII) and High School (classes IX – XII).
Submission Deadline: Friday, May 31st 2024
Prizes & Recognition
There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners from the two categories.
Respective schools of winners will receive art supplies. Winners and honorable mentions will be announced in June and will receive recognition at the Festival on August 4th, where their artworks will be exhibited.
Participation & Submission
Schools interested in participating should email [email protected] with the contact information of 1 to 2 focal persons for each school. These focal persons will serve as liaisons for disseminating competition details, encouraging and supporting student participation, collecting and submitting clear well lit photos of participants’ artworks and ensuring adherence to deadlines. All entries must be made by the school’s focal person or student’s guardian via the given Google Form links, with a clear and well lit photo of the artwork along with the student artist’s details.
