Dorji Wangchuk is a Bhutanese academic, writer, engineer, documentary filmmaker and communication specialist. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of the Abroad Centre for Traditional Wisdom – a US-based nonprofit. He holds a PhD in communication from the University of Macau and a Laurea Degree with distinction in electronics engineering from the University of Bologna in Italy. He led the team that brought television to Bhutan in 1999. He later made a career shift to documentary filmmaking and journalism, where he directed over 30 documentaries – three of which won several international awards. He has authored several book chapters and articles in academic journals.
