Isha Nagar, a self-taught visual artist, completed her Bachelors in Fashion Communication from NIFT Delhi in 2010. She explores various mediums like watercolour, charcoal, and oil, focusing on life and nature in monochrome, inspired by surrealist ideas and artists such as René Magritte, Frida Kahlo and many more. After stints with graphic design studios and publishing houses, she founded Tathya in 2014, showcasing at Comic Con from 2016-2018 and joining Saatchi Art collections since 2015. She has held senior design roles at HarperCollins India and Penguin Random House India’s Puffin imprint, specializing in children’s literature. Isha has illustrated award-winning books like ‘The Ghost of Malabar’ and ‘V for Vaccine’, and recently, ‘What is A Tail Good For’ and ‘Uncontrollable’. Her work was featured at the Superfine Art Fair, Los Angeles (2023), and she won the Talent Art Prize 2023 from Teravarna Art Gallery, USA. As an individual who loves creating illustrations for children, she recently conducted doodle sessions at the Bookaroo Literature Festival, Srinagar (2024).
