Johanna Schaible is an illustrator and artist living in Bern, Switzerland. She completed her Bachelor in Illustration in 2013 at the Hochschule Luzern Design & Kunst where she teaches as a guest lecturer since 2022. Her picture book debut “Once upon a time and there will be much more” was published as a co-edition in twelve languages in 2021 and her work won several awards, such as the Swiss Children’s Book Prize 2022 or the European Design Award 2022 in the category Signs & Displays in collaboration with the agency Heyday.
She is part of the Bolo Klub, a collective that supports a new generation of picture bookmakers in Switzerland.
