Yangday La

Yangday La was the host of a TV talk show on the national Channel Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS) in  2015 and 2016, to promote positive youth narratives, empowering young people around Bhutan to take action and become conscious change-makers. In addition, she worked for the National Radio (Kuzoo FM) station for 3 years as a Radio Jockey. She also conducted workshops and presentations in High schools creating awareness of Safe sex and STDs and currently, Yangday is a part of the Gakoed Lamtoen Project by NCWC and UNDP Bhutan. She is one of the 25 young leaders of SheDecides, a global movement to create a world where women decide. She was the LEAD Fellow for Bhutan 2020 and has recently entered the world of films and has worked on various Bhutanese movies, and as a screenwriter for Samuh. Her dream project is to complete 108 Book, a collection of women’s stories, which she has been working on for the last two years.
